How Will You Spend Summer Break?

I’ll go first.

I’ll be spending summer break living life with the people right in front of me…my hubby, my kids, friends, neighbors, those the Lord leads to me or me to them.

I’ll be spending my summer on my knees and in the Word.

I’ll be relishing several books I’ve started and haven’t finished.

I’ll be discussing and praying over future life and ministry plans with my family.

All of this and so much more. It will go quickly, but I’m excited to see God sovereign and faithful through each and every faith-filled moment as I trust and obey Him.

Speaking of obedience, after my hubby and I prayed about it, we both thought it would be best for me to spend the summer off-line ministry-wise. So I won’t be blogging here at Faith-Colored Glasses, or at the Internet Cafe, or even Jewels of Encouragement. I’ll only tweet and Facebook to keep up with friends and family, and just focus on living and loving well in Spirit and in Truth.

God is faithful, and He longs to give you life to the faith-filled (John 10:10). What does that look like for you right now? And how is He leading you to spend your summer?

“In Him we live & move & have our being… for we our indeed His offspring.” Acts 17:28

  1. Enjoy this sweet summer, friend. Mine has already started. Four kids (2 grown, 2 small) under my roof. My nerves are already frayed:) I’m on sabbatical at my parents’ house for two days in Garner, NC. I’m doing the Scotty-watch (American Idol) from their couch. Such an awesome kid.

Take good care; rest when you can; laugh a lot; walk a lot; eat good food; and love at every turn!

  2. Laura, you have your priorities straight! I might even be coveting those priorities as I write. Perhaps I’ll have to go back to the drawing board over here.
